Yugi Muni Siddhar Life History.

Yugi muni siddhar is the cheif exponent of Siddha System of Medicine after Siddhar Agathiyar and Siddhar Theraiyar.
Yugi muni is considered as FATHER OF PATHOLOGY IN SIDDHA for his extensive work of compiling the diseases and its symptoms into a Medical Literature known as “YUGI MUNI VAITHIYA CINTHAAMANI”.
Siddhar in his work bogar 7000 says that yugi muni excelled under siddhar Jamathaagani and siddhar theraiyar.
After seeing his excellence and prowess in Siddha Science Of Medicine, Siddhar Theraiyar took him to his guru Siddhar Agathiyar.

Yugi muni in his Medical Literatures, himself has described that he has learnt the siddha medicine preparation methods under the guidance of siddhar Agathiyar.
After learning the nuances and subtleties of Siddha science from Agathiyar school of thoughts, he lived in thiruvannamalai for some time practicing Siddha yoga and medicine.
The greatest accompolishment of Siddhar yugi muni is that he took step to clear the misleading encryptions in siddha medicine literatures.
He also well versed in Siddha Yoga and Gnana philosophies.

His classification of 4448 diseases that can occur to humans, still hold true and is way beyond modern medicine in certain aspects.

Under the heading kunmam – குன்ம நோய்கள் (acidic peptic diseases), he has classified 8 types of it.
Under the topic kamalai – காமாலை (Jaundice), he has classified 7 types of it.
Under the topic karba rogam – கெர்ப ரோகங்கள் (infertility in women), he has classified six types of maladu.
Under kalladaippu கல்லடைப்பு (Renal stones), he has classified four types of kidney stones and three types based on region of occurence.
In eye diseases- கண் நோய்கள் he has classified 96 types of it.
Under thorpinigal தோற் பிணிகள் – kuttam குட்ட நோய்கள் (Dermal problems), he has classified 18 types.

Some of it are leucoderma(vitiligo), psoriasis, allopecia, eczema etc.

Under veri azal noigal வெறி அழல் நோய்கள் , he has described about Mental or psychological illness like

Chronic schizopernia – மூடு பித்தம் moodu pithttham.
Maniac excitements – அழல் பித்தம் azhal piththam, ஊது பித்தம் oothu piththam.
Depressive pyschosis- விகார பித்தம் vihara piththam.
Nanju vali நஞ்சு வலி toxic psychosis.
Neurotic conditions like hyteria as thimir vali திமிர் வலி .
Neurotic depression as mano vali மனோ வலி .
Convulsive disorders like grand mal epilepsy as kakkai vali காக்கை வலி .

Metals:

Gold (thangam), silver (velli), copper (chembu), iron (logam), zinc (naagam), lead (karuvangam), Tin (vel vangam), magnet (kaantham).
Mercurials and other toxic substances:

Mercury (rasam), cinnabar (lingam), calomel (pooram), Mercuric per chloride (veeram), sulphur (gandagam), arsenic sulphide (manoseelai), thalagam ( As 2 S 3 ), arsenic oxide(gouri).
Salts (kaara saaram):

Fuller’s earth (pooneeru), salt peter (vediuppu ),alum ( seenam) , borax (vengaram), borneo camphor ( pacchai karpooram), kalluppu (salt found in lumps on deep sea rocks), sal ammoniac (navacharum) .
Mineral origin (Uparasam):
